Coming from all over the world, interns who work with African Enterprise are people of all ages (at least in the middle of, or finished, with their university education) who are looking for an opportunity to be involved in short-term (1-12 months) ministry or service within a diverse and supportive Christian community.

Viewed as a short-term mission service, AELTC interns raise funds through their local churches and Christian community in order to pay for room and board and administrative expenses during their time of service with AE. Scholarships are available for those coming from Africa.

African Enterprise Intership Options
Including Communications and Media, Radio, Accounting, Support and Development, Hospitality services, Justice and Reconciliation, Community Development projects, Mission and Evangelism, Child Support and Development projects, or Secretarial/Administrative services.


Communications Department
Journalistic experience; graphic design; computer literacy; artistic skills; photography; layout and page design; writing and editing skills. You may be covering missions, writing up reports, taking photographs of AE ministry, working on layout and design of AE's monthly Update newsletter, etc.


Support Development Department
Creative writing; writing fund proposals; administrative and secretarial skills (computer literacy, filing, correspondence); researching potential new grants or donor companies. In this department you will offer support in several key areas of the day to-day administrative details of running the AE ministry.


IT Department
Database experience: Quatro Pro, Access; Programming skills; writing and editing skills; Website management with HTML, CSS and PHP; Network Management skills; graphic design: Corel Draw. You may be involved in computer trouble-shooting, web page design, etc.


Media Department
Research and writing skills; knowledge of research methodology, Digital Audio editing skills; computer literacy. You may write scripts for radio programmes, work on programme production (editing + sound), help in development of monthly prayer tapes, run sound system for special event, etc.


Department of Social Empowerment (DSE)
Computer literacy and the ability to teach it; gifted in relationship building; librarian experience. You may be involved in teaching basic computer literacy to teachers in township schools, home visitation to child-run homes, administrative support for the DSE office, manage the AE library during DSE training, etc.


AE International Department
Writing and editing skills; layout and design in Word, WordPerfect or Corel Draw; administrative and secretarial skills. You may be involved with editing, formatting and publishing articles/booklets by Michael Cassidy, helping the Pan African missions director with mission set-up details, etc.


African Leadership Development Institute
Academic skills from a graduate should include Theology, Sociology, Cross-Cultural Studies, Business and/or Leadership. Basic computer, presentation and organisational skills are required. Work opportunities will vary and may include researching new material for various leadership courses, administering the operations of leadership courses, tutoring students undergoing leadership training, and assisting in hosting a leadership course. For mutual benefit, internships should be no less than 6 months.
